Emergency Response

COVID-19: When Service Mattered Most

The 2020 lockdown tested every family. Our volunteers organised themselves overnight — sourcing supplies, coordinating with local authorities and reaching people others could not.

  • Daily food packets and ration kits for stranded workers and isolated families.
  • Medicine delivery and doctor-coordination for elderly residents living alone.
  • Emergency transport for hospital visits and oxygen-related needs.
  • Sanitisation and mask-distribution drives across the neighbourhood.

“In crisis, character is revealed.”

The pandemic shaped who we are today. Our emergency transport assistance service grew directly out of what we learned in those months — no one in need should ever have to wait.

VMC Cleanliness Award 2022

Environmental Care

Clean Streets, Green Futures

Our environmental work earned the VMC Cleanliness Award 2022 — but the real reward is a neighbourhood our children can grow up proud of.

  • Cleanliness drives — regular shramdaan to clean streets, public spaces and festival sites, with waste segregation awareness.
  • Tree plantation — planting and nurturing saplings every monsoon, with volunteers assigned to care for each tree.
  • Eco-friendly festivals — clay idols, plastic-free events and responsible visarjan practices.

Every living being deserves care — not only during festivals, but every single day.

Animal Welfare

Compassion for Every Creature

Our volunteers care for the voiceless residents of our neighbourhood — strays, birds and working animals — especially through Gujarat's harsh summers.

  • Feeding drives — regular distribution of fodder and food for stray cattle and dogs.
  • Water for birds — summer water bowls (parabda) placed across the area for birds and small animals.
  • Rescue coordination — connecting injured animals with veterinary help and shelters.
